Century Theatres at The River features 15 screens of first-run films and art-house offerings within walking distance of Rancho Las Palmas.
Concerts
Every weekend brings live, original music to the amphitheater at The River.
Fridays and Saturdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Skateboarding/In-line Skating
Among the highlights are a Flow Bowl and Combi-Bowl for pool-style skating. Snacks and beverages are available on site, plus restrooms, seating areas and lockers. $5 per day for nonresidents. Open daily until 10 p.m. Located in the Palm Desert Civic Center Park off Fred Waring Drive and Portola.
Water Park
Just five minutes away, Knott’s Soak City offers 18 major water rides and attractions including the 800,000-gallon Rip Tide Reef wave pool and the brand-new Pacific Spin, a thrill-packed tube ride through tunnels, swirling water and a cascading waterfall.
